Job Title: Front Desk Agent /Guest Service Agent

Location: Manhattan Beach, CA (on-site; NOT REMOTE)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative/Guest Service Agent at our boutique hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay is memorable and exceeds their expectations.

Responsibilities:
1. Welcome Guests - Make a positive first impression and treat all guests with respect and kindness
2. Check-in/Check-out – Warmly assist with the check-in and check-out process
3. Amenities - Provide information about hotel amenities, pool hours, services, and local attractions. Distribute complimentary beach towels, boogie boards, and bikes as needed
4. Guest Interactions - Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
5. Guest Satisfaction—Listen to guests and find appropriate ways to resolve their complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Reservations - Make and confirm reservations, room assignments, and special requests
7. Systems - Maintain accurate guest records and update profiles in the hotel's system
8. Process payments - Generate bills and handle cash and credit card transactions
9. Luggage - Assist with luggage storage and transportation arrangements as needed
10. Cleaning—Maintain a clean and tidy front desk and check-in area. Light laundry must also be washed, dried, and folded nightly.
11. Hotel Policies - Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards

Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or customer service is a plus
2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality industry
3. Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with hotel management software
6. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
7. Multilingual skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:
• Must possess the strength and physical condition to lift items in the 5-20 lbs range.

Salary:
The salary range for this position is between $22-26/hour.
